New to Nice'n Easy?
Know the Rules of Colour before you colour
If this is your first time colouring, keep in mind the Rules of Colour before you jump in. That means learning the must-dos and knowing when to touch up between colour treatments. We'll also show you how to use Nice 'n Easy to get the desired result.
The Rules of Colour
Determine your starting hair colour
- If you have never coloured your hair before, you hair will be almost the same colour from root to tip.
- If you have previously coloured you hair and your root line hair colour is less than 2 shades different than the remainder of your hair, choose your root line hair colour as your starting point.
- If your root line hair colour is more than 2 shades different than the remainder of your hair, call a Clairol consultant on 1800 226 524 (Aus) or 0800 800 044 (NZ) for free personal colour advice on your colour combination.
For best results, follow these simple steps
- Determine your starting hair colour (as outlined above).
- Decide on the final colour result you want.
- Select a shade that blends with your existing hair colour to create the new colour- use the Nice 'n Easy hair colour chart. Also refer to the colour guide swatches on the side of the pack as a guide.
Keep in mind:
For colour that looks truly natural, stay within 1-2 shades lighter or darker than your natural colour.
If you are going more than two shades lighter than your natural colour, you will get warmer results than perhaps desired.
If you want to make a tonal effect, gold and auburn shades will add warm tones and highlights and ash shades will add cool tones and highlights.
