Tone refers to the warmth or coolness of a colour:
- Ash (Cool) - colour that has no red or gold highlights/tones
- Neutral/beige - colour that has no warm or cool highlights/tones
- Gold or caramel (Warm) - colour that adds golden highlights/tones
- Red or chestnut (Warm) - colour that adds red highlights/tones
When choosing a hair colour shade, keep in mind your natural skin tones. You'll look best in a hair colour that complements your natural skin tones.
Cool - If you have fair skin and blue, green or grey eyes, consider choosing shades with cool or neutral tones.
Warm - If you have golden, olive or dark skin with dark eyes, consider choosing shades with warm or neutral tones. Warm hair colour shades are great if you want to brighten hair that has a tendency to look mousy.
